A family that prays together, stays together!

Let us take it a step ahead. Sit with your family during paryushan days, and analyze your entire last year. Identify areas and instances where you have expressed any kind of negative emotion towards others. Discuss with your family what went wrong and how it can be resolved in the future.

Keeping feelings and complaints bottled up inside will soon erupt as a volcano! This volcano will cause disruption.

So, process your emotions of the past year in the first 7 days of Paryushan Mahaparva, and seek forgiveness on the 8th day.

At the same time, plan how you envision your future year. How would you like to do things differently this year? Discuss your learnings from the past year and how you plan to implement them in the coming year.

Jainism has never been about just observing  Samayik and Pratikraman. So, let us engage in this future planning with our families.

Paryushan Parv – the 8 days Jain Festival of Forgiveness is an occasion to fulfill the responsibilities towards our soul. Paryushan parv is the time when our soul vibrates the most and thus during this time, a seeker should indulge in small small tasks that will make his spiritual journey all the more worthwhile. Rashtrasant Param Gurudev Shree Namramuni Maharaj Saheb profoundly enlists a detailed list of Do’s and Don’ts of what should be done and what we should refrain from doing during these divine days of Paryushan. During these Paryushan days, one should realize, repent and seek forgiveness for his mistakes by performing Pratikraman, Alochana fasting, taking small Pachkhan vows, etc. If a seeker is not well versed with the process and pronunciation of Pratikraman, he/she can purify his soul by also taking the support of Online Pratikraman Aradhana
